Sue Lory
Owner/Director
Sue has taught in the Temecula/ Murrieta area for over 15 years. Dancing since the age of 3, Sue has collected a lifetime of experience both on the dance floor and behind the scenes, creating a special environment enjoyed by so many at Miss Sue's Dance. From the beginning, her mother encouraged dancing to overcome Sue's shyness.
She started at a small studio in Newport Beach, where she found her passion for dance. She was soon asked to join their traveling dance company performing through out Southern California. Sue has also enjoyed participating in the Swing/Ballroom circuits where she brought home many awards. She gained further perspective as a mother having her 2 daughters on dance teams. She soon saw the need for a studio that could do things a little differently so she endeavored to create Miss Sue's Dance.
Sierra Haydon
Fairytale, Combo, Jazz I, Lyrical I & II, Performing Team: Jazz
Sierra Haydon has been dancing since she was 3 years old. She has experience in Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Tap, Hip-Hop, and Musical Theater. She competed in Jazz, Lyrical, and Hip-Hop, winning many awards with her teams. Sierra was a cheerleader at MVHS for two years and danced on the Varsity Dance Team for two years as well. She has been teaching for Miss Sue's Dance for six years. She teaches our Fairytale, Combo, Jazz, Lyrical, and Tap classes. She also choreographs for the Tiny Tots and Mini Munchkins' performing teams. Sierra helps coordinate our summer and winter recitals, including choreographing our opening number and Father/Daughter dances. She continues to take classes at The Edge in Los Angeles. Sierra goes to college at San Diego State University, working towards a degree in Communications.
Kari Lathrop
Hip-Hop, Jazz II, Fairytale, Combo, Tap II, Tap, Performing Team: Jazz II, Performing Team: Tap I, Performing Team: Tap II
Kari Lathrop has been training in Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, Hip-Hop, and Tap since the age of three. She started competing at the age of 7. She won many top honors and medals and got invited to Las Vegas, Nevada to perform in an opening number for their national competition. She has danced with many respected choreographers such as Mia Michaels and Sonya from So You Think You Can Dance. Kari has is currently on the competition Hip-Hop team "Resurrect" that performs throughout the Inland Empire. She has been teaching for a couple years and loves it. Her experience as captain of her high school dance team adds to her leadership skills.
Melissa Rash
Ballet, Tap
Melissa Rash is currently attending CSUF and working towards a double major in dance. She has trained in many studios throughout Southern California. She attended Ballet School for several years and then moved on to competitive dance. She competed in Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, and Tap. She scored 1st with her dance teams as well as high scores in her solos and trios. During high school she participated in MVHS Dance Team and Dance Production. During her college years she was able to perform with a touring assemble in Souther California. Melissa has a strong passion for teaching all genres of dance. She began teaching at age 16. She teaches all levels from pre-dance to adult.
Megan Fleenor
Leaps & Turns, Dance Team Prep, Jazz I, Hip-Hop
Megan Fleenor grew up in a studio doing only hip hop. She then noticed she had a passion for jazz and lyrical and began competing. She was trained under the Millenium Dance Complex and crews on America's Best Dance Crew. She made Varsity Dance team at Murrieta Valley High School. She now teaches jazz, lyrical, and turns and leaps.
Claire Lewis
Hip-Hop
Claire's love for dance started when she joined her high school dance group in the Philippines. She then gained most of her dance experience from Orange Dance Studio in Manila. She is part of the studio's core group. In College, she started her own dance group called Cadence Uprockin Crew. She has performed in numerous competitions and music videos. What sets Claire apart from others is her passion for teaching. She is constantly choreographing in her head every time she hears music. Claire is now a member of the Hip-Hop dance group Team Millenia. Dancing is Claire's life. While Claire has trained in other styles, her expertise lies in Hip-Hop dancing. Her imagination and creativity allow her to produce quality choreography with short notice. Claire works with Boys and Girls Club and Young Champions of America teaching young children Hip-Hop dance. As an instructor, her focus is to teach her students sharp synchronized movements that produce clean and entertaining performances. She has found that her true love in life is to share her passion for dancing with children who can carry that passion throughout their life. Claire is determined to help all children with the passion for dancing to grow stronger in dance and achieve their goals.
Dyllan Park
Tap, Fairytale, Beginning Jazz
Dyllan Park is currently a sophomore at San Diego State University studying hospitality and tourism management. She started dancing at the age of 3 and continued through high school. She has trained in styles ranging from Jazz and Contemporary to Hip-Hop and Tap. She had dances showcased at Murrieta Valley High School Dance Production in 2009 and 2010 where she first got a tasted of teaching original choreography. Dance has been a way of life for Dyllan and she could not imagine doing anything better than teaching dance.
